Signs declaring for or against cropped up in every yard in town. At the town meeting just before the vote, it was clearly neighbor against neighbor in its most raw form. Chaos ensued as it appeared the town would be torn apart..until someone insulted the clown.

After his brother is killed as a child in a car accident, Jeff is led down a road of toxic relationships, from his indifferent mother and alcoholic father to his drug-addicted ex-wife Beth. When Beth abandons their 10-year-old son Kevin in a drug-infested neighborhood, it is the impulse Jeff needs to flee a chaotic life. They leave their small-town, dead end home to pursue a job that could at least offer financial stability.
The process of change doesn’t come easy as Jeff battles the demons of his past, self-doubt from a life of dead ends, continued struggles with conflict and crises, and his own undesirable characteristics reflected in Kevin. Jeff ultimately finds that a single choice to make a change leads to roads that don’t end.
